Epic EHR Personnel Management Connector

Personnel management for Epic users via Ivanti automation.

Epic Systems is one of the largest providers of health information technology, used primarily by large U.S. hospitals and health systems to access, organize, store and share electronic medical records. The Ivanti automation connector focuses on employee management aspect of the Epic system.

The connector is in an open format utilizing Ivanti Automation built-in tasks that allow the administrator to customize the calls into the Epic Personnel management web services with minimal changes to the Automation modules and no coding.

Requires Ivanti Automation 2020.1 or higher
Require the personnel management interface license by customers. Contact your EPIC support to determine if you have the proper license.

Tasks

  • User - Create Add a new user to the Epic system
  • User - Activate Task can be used to activate an existing User record. This service call also unblocks a blocked User, clears a User's "end date", and updates a User record based on linked templates.
  • User - View
    returns basic information about a given User that can be displayed in your system. Use this service to verify the User's current setup is correct or to identify items to be changed.
  • User - Update
    This task is used to update Epic with changes made to a User in your system.
  • User - Inactivate
    This task can be used to inactivate a User record, meaning that the User can no longer use Epic. It does not delete the record.
  • User - Delete
    This task can be used to delete a User record. You would typically not call this service unless the User record was created in error.
  • Password - Set
    This task sets the User's Epic password to a new value
  • Password - Force Reset This task sets a flag in the User record that will force the user to choose a new password the next time they log in.
