Providing clients with a secure foundation for companies around the world, MobileIron seeks out software providers that can add high value to their clients. Since Government agencies and other industries want to use mobile technologies that protect sensitive data while eliminating the need for passwords and hardware tokens, MobileIron needed to offer their clients a best-in-class solution. In August 2016, MobileIron and Entrust announced a technology partnership to deliver derived credentials for next-generation multi-factor authentication, on top of the existing Entrust Certificate Authority integration for MobileIron Device authentication. Officially available to clients now, MobileIron Derived Credentials with Entrust Identity Enterprise (IdentityGuard) Mobile Smart Credential ("Derived Credentials") provides secure mobile access to agency resources without requiring employees to use additional hardware like sleds or smart card readers.

When you provide mobile employees trusted identities to complete secure transactions all through a seamless user experience, they do a better job for the people you serve - while maximizing your valuable resources. One of the biggest benefits that MobileIron clients (and MobileIron employees) report is that while government is the catalyst for the use of Derived Credentials through their ‘Derived PIV Credential’ initiative, this methodology is directly relevant to any organization moving to more secure forms of authentication.
